Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Our Lady of Fatima School! I hope these pages offer a glimpse into the vibrant life of our school. Every day we live out the lines of the song that says, “Everyone knows your name and everyone is glad you came.”

Academically, we are a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence that combines high academic standards with the strong spiritual and community foundation of a Catholic Education. Our school is fully accredited by the State of Connecticut as well as the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Our students go on to excel at local public and Catholic High Schools.

We offer small class size and our academic success is based on outstanding teaching, a rigorous core curriculum and a wide range of enrichment programs (e.g., world languages, fine arts and music, Maker Space room, and the integration of technology to enrich our curriculum.) We believe in the Personalized Blended Model of instruction where we blend online resources with traditional teaching to meet the needs of all learners. All our teachers offer tutoring period each week. As a result of all these efforts, we can help all our students succeed.

We believe in education for the whole person, and so we offer a host of engaging activities that foster the intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth of our students. Our graduates are community focused and they have made our core value, “Service Above Self,” an essential part of who they are.

Outside of school, our students participate in a range of extracurricular activities from sports teams, to plays, to clubs, to the band, to violin lessons. We believe in seeking and developing the talent that is within each of our students.

We are preparing the next generation of leaders as our students develop strong moral character. Teaching our Catholic faith provides essential moral and ethical context for our students. We teach our students to look for the hand of God in all of life’s inevitable ups and downs.

Parents are our partners in the education of their children. We have an active Home School Association and our parents work with us on a range of important committees such as the Technology Committee and the Marketing Committee. In addition, our parents support our play productions and coach our sports teams.

For 56 years students have been transformed through their Our Lady of Fatima education. We build on this strong foundation while developing life-long learners and building the core skills for the 21st Century learner.

I invite you to visit and see our school for yourself. You can email me at or call me at 203-762-8100 to set-up a visit. Welcome to our family.
