Annual School Events
BACK-TO-SCHOOL-NIGHT > Parents Only (Sept 13th)
This is an opportunity to visit your child’s classroom, hear teacher presentations and meet other parents. Following the classroom visits, dinner will be served in the gym followed by brief presentations from Principal, Stan Steele, OLF HSA and OLF Athletic Directors. There is NO COST to attend. Tables are set by Grade so that everyone can sit with other class parents. Feel free to bring wine & beer. This parent-only event is a great way to kick off the year.
OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT > (4th week Sept.)
Bring the kids, bring a lawn chair and join us for a movie under the stars. The screen will be set-up on the soccer field and refreshments will be available. It is always an amazing night and a great way to start the school year.
STUDENT LEAD FUNDRAISER > (mid-Oct)
The students are at the center of this fundraiser. They work to get as many pledges as possible to raise money for the school AND raise some to donate to a favorite charity. This year we will hold a Read-a-thon.
FAMILY HALLOWEEN BINGO > (Friday before Halloween)
This is usually the first big event of the year where the whole family, parents and kids, join together with just about every other Fatima family in costume to play bingo, win prizes and enjoy pizza and treats! The gym is always filled to capacity for this evening event. A nominal per person fee with a maximum fee per family is charged. Parents and Kids come in costume to play bingo, win prizes and enjoy treats! This is a wonderful time for children of all ages!
INTERNATIONAL FAMILY NIGHTT > (2nd week Nov)
Parents and kids dress with a nod to their family’s ancestry while serving up cuisine of the homeland. If you are a foodie, you cannot miss this event. Typically, Fatima families have represented no less than 20 countries each year. Come hungry – this is a wonderful event for the entire family. Come celebrate the diversity of the Our Lady of Fatima School Community and enjoy delicious food from around the world.
OLF Theatre Group FALL PRODUCTION > (Practice 9/7 weekly, Performances 11/17)
The first of two full scale productions, the Fall play is put on by 1st through 5th grade students. You will be amazed at all these children are able to accomplish from September through November! The younger set of students at the school do not disappoint and deliver a great show under the direction of Joe Santienello (Crystal Theatre Norwalk).
FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY > (2nd week Dec)
This fun-filled event gives your family a chance to dress up in holiday attire. The evening features dinner, a DJ, raffles, crafts, and a photo opportunity with Mr. & Mrs. Claus. A per family fee is charged.
Christmas Pageant & Recital > (3rd week Dec

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK > (4th week Jan)
The annual celebration of Catholic education in the U.S kicks off on the last Sunday in January. , Then entire week if filled with ways to celebrate Catholic schools. The theme for 2019 is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” Typically we observe the annual celebration week with Masses, an Open House, and daily themes with special activities for students and families.
TYLER UGOLYN BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT (last week Jan-first week Feb)
Four years of gathering as a community, both School and Parish, young and old, to share in some traditional Irish cuisine, enjoy local talented Irish Step dancers, and be moved by the robust sound of the Greenwich Pipe Band. Each year the crowd becomes larger, as it is always an easy night of fun, friends, dinner, and community. The proceeds are dedicated to the OLF Theatre Group!
ANNUAL GALA AUCTION FUNDRAISER > (3rd week Apr)
No matter what type of school you attend, there will always be a need to fundraise. We do so in various small ways throughout the year, but each April we go big! This is our largest fundraiser of the year. Along
OLF Theatre Group SPRING PLAY > (3rd week May)
The second play of the year is put on by students in 3rd through 8th grades.
SPORTS AWARDS DINNER > (3rd week May)
Each year the Athletic Committee hosts an awards dinner for the families of all our Fatima athletes.
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE & BBQ (Memorial Day Weekend)
Our Lady of Fatima joins the rest of the town of Wilton in it's annual parade. OLF families walk behind our 'Service Above Self' banner we carry with pride. It's a lovely tradition and a short parade route. Afterwards, we gather at the field behind the school building and break bread, have some ice pops, play on the playground, play games, and chat. An easy-going time together.
PARENT-CHILD EVENTS > (1st week June)
Every other year this event gives either Moms and their sons, or Dads and their daughters some dedicated time to celebrate their bond. Whether it’s a dance, mini-golf, bowling, laser tag, attending a ball game, or otherwise, it is special time together and a Fatima tradition. Even years are for Dads & Daughters, odd years, Moms & Sons. A per person fee is charged.
CLOSING HOUSE > (last week of school)
Our last celebration of the school year, we gather for a BBQ in early evening along with games for the kids.
