Dear Parents,

I hope you have all been enjoying this beautiful Labor Day Weekend and have been able to spend some time with your families after our first week of school.

Attending Mass on Friday, meeting the children, and connecting with parents at drop off and pick up were the highlights of my week.

It was great to see the students excited to be back in school with their teachers, who have worked so hard to prepare for the opening of school. It was equally nice to see new students join our Fatima Family. It certainly seems like we will have a wonderful year.

I am thrilled that we will be welcoming two new middle school teachers this week:

Mrs. Marybeth Nisco will be our 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher and the middle school writing teacher. She comes to us with a great deal of education and experience in both of those areas, and students will be benefit from her expertise.

Ms. Alexandra Broderick will be our middle school ELA teacher and our 6th grade social studies teacher. She also comes to Fatima with a solid background in both of these areas. Together these 2 teachers will provide a well-rounded curriculum that focuses on student improvement in reading and writing in areas of vocabulary, literature, American history, and world civilizations.

Mr. Dan Pelletier, aka Coach Dan from DIG will be our physical education teacher. Many students are familiar with Coach Dan and are thrilled to know that they will see him for gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I am looking forward to a wonderful week ahead, as we really get down to business!

Remember that Fr. Reggie’s cookout will be held this Friday evening September 10th. I look forward to seeing any families who can make it out for this!

Please put our Open House on your calendar for Thursday evening, September 23rd. More details to follow!

Thank you for all of the kind words and the warm welcome. I feel blessed to be a part of this amazing community. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. Have a great week!

Warm regards,

Mary Ann Fleming
