September 11, 2020

This coming Thursday, September 17th is our Virtual Open House. Please "Save the Date." It will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an all-school Community Meeting. I am requesting to the greatest extent possible that each family logs on with just one device to this meeting. We will send out the link next week. This meeting will have important school board presentations and school information.
At 7:00 we will begin our classroom meetings. If you have more than one child in the school, you and your spouse will attend separate virtual class meetings. Each teacher will be sending you their link to their meeting. At the classroom meetings, you will learn important information on academic content, daily schedule, and student expectation.
Also, at 7:00 the middle school team will meet first with the 6th-grade parents to review content and expectations, then at 7:20 p.m. with 7th-grade parents, and at 7:40 p.m. with 8th-grade parents.
All classroom presentations should conclude by 8:15 p.m. I know it will be an important evening for all our parents.
As you know that we have separated our middle school and K-5 drop-off and pick-up times. The important purpose of this separation is to keep these "cohorts" separate. This is an important health consideration. Due to everyone's help, we have found that we are able to process the students much faster than I anticipated. I want to adjust the drop-offs and pick-up times to accommodate us keeping the cohorts separate. This change will start on Monday.
Morning Drop-Off:
7:50 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. - Middle school (same).
8:00 8:15 a.m. - Kindergarten -5th (shorter period).
Afternoon Pick-Up:
2:50 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Middle school (same).
3:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. - Kindergarten - 5th (shorter period).
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation!
We need to have your emergency contact information. Please find below the link to this short but important form. Please have your child return it to their homeroom teacher or email Ms. Stephanie at  [email protected]
The Parish is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Sept. 22 from 1 to 6 and then on Wednesday, September 23 from 8 to 6.
For an appointment visit or call 1-800 RED CROSS (800.733.2767).  This drive is sponsored by Our Lady of Fatima and Rotary Club of Wilton CERT and WVAC.
Starting next Friday, Wednesday evening is the cut-off to order pizza for that Friday. This will be of great help to both us and Leitizia's Pizza.
Today is the anniversary of 9/11. The school had a moment of silence at 8:52 a.m. We also had a visitor out front who was a school friend of Tyler Ugolyn, who came by to look at the plaque underneath our flag and to say a prayer. Tyler Ugolyn was a graduate of OLF, a wonderful role-model, and a young man who lost his life on 9/11. Let's all say an extra prayer tonight that we never forget.
